    Who Gets Lei`d ?

Filed under: Friends, Traveling Lei — DB @ 1:41 pm

UPDATE: The Lei’s are in the mail!!  Three special ladies can expect to get lei’d by the USPS within the next few days (probably by Friday) emoticon

The results of the C’mon I Wanna Lei Ya!  contest are in folks!! emoticon

I have to say, that the entries were pretty good, soo good that I had a hard time choosing, so here are the top three based on creativity:Traveling Lei (Red and Black)

The best way to get lei’d in Mesa, Az is to turn the AC all the way, to about 50 degrees, light a fire in the firplace, and snuggle up to Johnny Mathis Christmas music, sipping a hot buttered rum!

(DB you should know the answer to this one) But here in the Winter Wonderland (it snowwed last night)
Ya take yer favy guy/gal/dog/whatever up to the Slopes and lei one of ‘em in the lodge by the fire sipping spiked cocoa.

**Here in ‘Bama all you have to do to get lei’d is drive up to a Redneck feller in your jacked up 4X4 and tell him to “Lei a little lovin’ on me”. Hey, most of the guys down here are’nt the sharpest tools in the shed, you can’t be subtle or they just look at you and go “HUH?”

Since my selection committee and I couldn’t make up our minds which of the top three was the absolute best, I’ve decided to Lei all three!  That’s right, I’m gonna send a Lei to each of you.emoticon

We put all three names in a hat in a random drawing, and the winner of the Traveling Lei is ((drumroll please)) (more Crap…)

    C’mon I Wanna Lei Ya!

Filed under: Humor, Friends, Traveling Lei — DB @ 12:41 pm

UPDATE:  I’ve placed a special Xmas story on my other Blog, and see the lastest escapades of the Hawai`i Bloggin B’s(minus one) here.

Since December is our “Blogaversary” B’Tude and I have decided to make it a special Blog month.  (Actually, I was planning on kicking back for a couple of weeks but she is a SWBP after all :)

To get everyone in the spirit I’ve decided to steal an idea from an insurance commercial and Kim’s (ok, so maybe it wasn’t her idea but Andi’s… go with it) damned Elf shorts.

I’m going to go out and purchase, at great personal expense, a couple of non-perishable leis`.  Sorry, as much as we’d like to, trying to send live flowers from here is a no-no.

    1. At the end of my contest, I will ship both leis` to one lucky winner.
    2. One you will get to keep, the other you will ship to the next lucky winner along with a small gift from your own state or country.
    3. You must attach a creative tag to the “traveling lei”, such as “Aloha from Hawai`i”, or “Howdy from Texas”, etc., and your blog address.  The tag should be no larger that the size of an airline baggage tag or Xmas tag so we can get lots of them on there :)
    4. When you receive the lei, you must post a picture of yourself wearing it and holding a sign that says “I got lei’d by DB in Hawai`i!” (or whomever you got the lei from).  Also post a link back to me and the person you got the lei from so we can keep track of our Aloha, as well as these rules personalized to your own site.
    5. Then create your own contest for the next winner, but the rules for the traveling lei will remain the same.  The contest should run for no shorter than a week and no longer than two weeks.
    6. The idea is that we want to send this Aloha lei all around the world if we can.  Eventually it should have tags from everywhere its been :) I will keep track of the leis’ progress so we always know where it is.  Simple enough?

The most creative answer to this question by December 8th will get lei’d by me—“What is the best way to get lei’d in your city?”

Don’t forget B’Tudes contest this month too :)

Now go out and get lei’d.
