The Things We Do For Love
Christmas Day we were invited over to a dear friend’s house to enjoy Christmas with her family. I won’t go into all the details of our Christmas week here because the Bitch beat me to posting this morning… so you’ll have to visit her blog for further details. I will say though that I love all of Ma’s family… even cranky, hardcore old K@os (I’ve been warned about ruining his rep, so I can’t say nice things about him), whose wife has a voice like an angel, and whose son kept us all entertained with his two year old antics. I’ve never been around a family with soo much love to share.
I don’t think I’ve ever had a better time with a group of people, rounded out with our newest college graduate Wired, and buddy MacSamurai. Eating until we were all too stuffed to move, and then just sitting back and listening, as the evening wore on, to such a wonderfully talented family as they sang karaoke.
Of course Ma wasn’t gonna let me get away without singing along, and I always keep my promises, so…
Once upon a time, I actually sang in a High School band (a good way to pick up chicks), but that was a few decades ago, lol
What can be more embarassing than standing up in front of an entire family of musicians and singers and picking up a microphone to sing along with them… what was I thinking?

I finally found my key though. I sing in the key of shit!! Luckily they were all supportive, enough of them sang to help drown out my haole non-rhythm, and didn’t throw heavy objects at me.
It was all a good time though, and after all this time we got to meet the beautiful Tech Wench
(who is responsible for all of us meeting in the Blogasphere about a year ago) and her husband Kyle. Unfortunately I didn’t get to Lei her because I wasn’t sure what the pollen would do to her, but let me tell you… listening to her, her Mom, her sister Ui, and K@os’wife "Z" sing, while sitting next to my best girl and sippin pseudo-Appletinis, just can’t be beat
Unfortunately, we were soo busy enjoying ourselves… er listening and drinking mostly, that we didn’t get many good pictures of the occassion. This one is cut from the video B’Tude took while I was mouthing (croaking) the words, lol Yes, I do have a cold, and no, it wouldn’t have been better without the cold.
I love you and your family, Ma
Thank all of you for making our Christmas soo special this year.
